“If its not good for your tree
we won’t do it!”

Usually pruning is associated with the removal of branches from the crown of the tree. The most common objectives of pruning are to remove dead, dying, diseased or interfering branches or to provide clearance from structures, utility wires, or streets and sidewalks.

Trees are living biological systems, pruning can be critical to the long term health of your trees. While tree pruning can be one of the best things you can do for your trees to encourage good health, establish good structure and promote safety, improper practices such as climbing with spurs, topping trees and flush cutting can have an adverse effect. Poor tree health, insect and disease infestation, increased percentage of storm damage, structural failure, and tree death can all result from improper pruning or pruning at the wrong time of year.

ISA Certified Arborists can help you achieve your desired goals while maintaining your tree’s biological needs. Whether you are aiming for tree health, safety, aesthetics or more light on your lawn or garden, we will guide you through the process and help you decide what is best for your trees.

The science of topping trees by cutting off the top is not a good idea and not recommended unless you are trying to clear power lines.  Consulting a certified Arborist who will use expert pruning techniques to reduce the height of a tree,  can avoid permanent damage to a tree and help to maintain tree health and natural appearance.  Using an expert who understands the correct pruning techniques and industry standards is the best advice.

Tree Fertilization
Tree fertilization, if not managed by an expert arborist or professional who is certified in tree health, can lead to disease, fungus, bad bacteria, or root rot.  Roberts Tree Service can provide tree fertilization through injection services, and applied skillfully to keep your trees healthy and attractive.

Insect & Disease Control
Many insects and diseases have infiltrated the tree populations, leading to weak, brittle, dead stands, and serious health problems.  Due to litigation by environmental groups, thousands of acres of public lands across the western US are riddled with sick and weakened trees that are dead or dying because of bug infestations and these resources are no longer marketable.   Smaller private owned timbered land is also affected by pests such as Mountain Pine Beetle, Dutch Elm Disease, Bronze Birch Borer, Fire Blight Aphids, and Scale and spread into local communities.   Our insect and disease management programs are available to treat your trees and help keep them healthy.

Its critical to your safety to use a professional tree service for removal of your trees.   Tree removal can be very dangerous if the appropriate safety measures are not met.

Tree removal and rigging operations can be very complicated and technical. You have to envision how to deconstruct the tree piece by piece while creating minimal to zero impact to the customer’s landscape.

No two tree removals are the same, equipment access, tree size, location, condition, electrical wires in proximity of a tree are all factors when determining the cost of a tree removal. Contact us for a free estimate and we will provide you with an exact cost for all of your tree care needs.

A tree that is structurally weak does not necessarily need to be removed.  Utilized as a support system for trees, cabling and bracing provides stability for a tree, that might not be able to support itself even after correct pruning.   Our non-invasive cabling system requires no drilling of the tree.  Our non-invasive techniques help to support the tree to reinforce the strength of the tree during extreme weather.

Some trees have little or no access.  Trees located in between structures, near utility wires, or in landscaped areas may require assistance from a crane when being removed.  Using a crane to remove a tree ensures a fast, effective and safe means in getting a tree on the ground.  With minimal to zero impact on a property, crane assisted tree removals can save you money , time, and disturbance to your property.

If a tree report is required for city permitting or other requirements, we can provide a comprehensive report.

As ISA Certified Arborists, we’re also professional tree climbers using all of the safety measures to ensure that your tree service is performed with the highest level of safety and protection for your property as well as our employees.

Stump grinding can be used to remove the stump,  depending on the location.  We can remove unsightly stumps quickly and efficiently by grinding them down below the surface.  Stumps are tripping hazards and are difficult to mow around.  Stump removal improves the aesthetic quality of your yard and allows for replanting of the area.

No two projects are the same. We don’t believe in one price fits all, because we won’t skimp on your service. We provide accurate, realistic, and reasonable estimates.

We take pride in the work that we do and ensure that with any area that we work within, the area will be promptly cleaned up to your satisfaction.

You can be confident that as certified arborists, we have the education, the knowledge and the experience to provide you with expert consultation and report services that you require.  We network with other affiliated professionals at the local, state and federal levels to remain up-to-date about public policies regarding public shade trees or town owned trees adjacent to your property.  In addition to providing assistance with questions regarding general public and private tree laws, we provide tree health and hazard evaluations.

To ensure your safety, you should never trim limbs or remove trees around power lines.  Let a professional tree trimmer handle these dangerous tasks for you.  Do not climb utility poles or trees near power lines.  Tree branches or limbs can conduct electricity when touching a power line.  In the event of a storm, treat any downed wire as if it is energized, stay away from the line, and give us a call.  When trees or branches break during storms, do not attempt to pull tree limbs off lines.  Let our trained work crews perform this potentially dangerous work.
